EuropeFides - An exciting international network
with Liechtenstein participation

EuropeFides has steadily grown in size since its foundation, as an increasing number of consultancy firms recognize the need for international networking. Indeed, the association now has a presence not only in Europe, but also in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and North America, and currently consists of 45 members from 25 different countries. First Tax Trust reg. and First Accounting Est. became active members of EuropeFides at the association's General Meeting held on 21/22 February 2020 in Malaga, and they are thus the network's first representatives from Liechtenstein. In Malaga, Dr. Thomas Zwiefelhofer introduced the First Advisory Group and Liechtenstein as a jurisdiction, while Ralph Thiede focused in his presentation on the services provided by First Tax Trust reg. General meetings are held annually in spring and autumn, giving members the opportunity to network and exchange ideas. Due to the coronavirus pandemic that began in March 2020, it was not until 24/25 September 2021, in Uden, Eindhoven, that a physical general meeting was held once again, organized by Dutch EuropeFides member Jolles & Ko Accountants B.V. The event was also attended by First Tax Trust reg.

In addition to the association's general activities, EuropeFides has also set up various expert and working groups, including the following:

-          Audit & Accounting Working Group

-          Tax & VAT Working Group

-          Communications Group

Every two or three months, the members of these expert and working groups meet virtually via Zoom to exchange ideas, with the expert groups focusing on a particular topic. Despite the situation with the pandemic, this has enabled continuation of a regular and personal exchange.

Moreover, the network itself provides significant added value for members; if a specific question arises, for instance on the legal requirements of company formation in a particular jurisdiction, members can simply make direct contact with the EuropeFides member for the jurisdiction in question, and this interaction also opens up attractive acquisition opportunities.

First Advisory is convinced of the benefits of network membership, and is enthusiastic about representing the business centre of Liechtenstein in its role as an association member.
